Garrett Johnston is a children's book writer living in Frederick, MD. He earned his bachelor of arts degree from Longwood University in English and Creative Writing.

As an instructor, Mr. Garrett focuses on waking up the creative brain in both the young and the old- challenging young writers to use their creative brains in new ways while they learn the fundamental rules and structures of creative writing.
